Poland 1919 First session of the Legislative Sejm 2× blocks of 4, mint
Two sets of mint postage stamps issued by the Polish Post in 1919 to commemorate the first session of the Legislative Sejm. This issue has a historical and political character and is appreciated by thematic collectors, especially those interested in the history of the Second Polish Republic and political philately.
Each stamp features:
- 15 fenigs (red) – profile of Ignacy Paderewski, Prime Minister and statesman, surrounded by decorative elements, with the inscription “SEJM 1919 ROKU” and “POCZTA POLSKA”.
- 20 fenigs (brown) – portrait of Wojciech Trąbczyński, Marshal of the Legislative Sejm, in an oval frame, with the inscription “SEJM 1919 ROKU” and “FENIGOW”.
The stamps are mint, arranged in blocks of four, which enhances their collectible value. Condition is very good, with typical signs of archival storage for stamps of this era.
