The UPU's main tasks are to promote international cooperation in the field of postal services, take care of the development of postal services, provide technical assistance to its member countries and set postal standards. There are 192 countries that are members of the UPU. Poland has been a member of the UPU since May 1, 1919.

The Polish Postal Service has honored the anniversaries of the World Postal Union with postal issues several times. The first time was in 1949 - on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the UPU's founding

       Postcrossing

The stamps show the inscription “Postcrossing” and: on the first - a drawing of a smiling red mailbox, holding a postcard in her hand; on the second - a drawing of a postcard running across the world.

Postcrossing - is a hobby and social network that allows its registered members to send and receive postcards from around the world. The project assumes that for every card sent and registered, a user receives a card from another member of the postcrossing community.

The project was launched in 2005 in Portugal, with the main idea being to create an online platform to connect people from all over the world - regardless of their age, gender, race, beliefs, faith - through postcards. To date, the project has sent more than 80 million postcards.

This is the second philatelic issue of the Polish Post dedicated to postcrossing (the first was realized in 2016).

The issue was created in cooperation with the creators of the platform - Mr. Paulo Magalhaes and Ms. Ana Campos.

       Christmas

On the stamps, the author Agata Tobolczyk, in an original way, presented graphics referring to the symbolism of holidays celebrated in December around the world regardless of location and religious preferences.

1. The PRIORITY S stamp depicts a traditional Christmas bauble.

2. The ECONOMIC S stamp depicts a traditional Christmas tree.

The FDC envelope shows holiday motifs, while the postmark contains the issue title, date and place of introduction in a snowflake.

In the northern hemisphere, the tradition of dressing a Christmas tree was known in our neighbors, the German countries as early as the 16th century. The custom of dressing a Christmas tree traveled from Germany to France, and then, thanks to Britain's Queen Victoria, spread to the rest of Europe and America..

In Poland, the custom of dressing a Christmas tree appeared in the 19th century. The aforementioned tree is a symbol of life and rebirth, colorful lights symbolize warding off evil powers, nuts - prosperity, good luck, apples (replaced in the 20th century by baubles and other ornaments) - health and vitality, and the chain for some is a symbol of family ties, and for others a symbol of the serpent tempter from the biblical paradise.

Nowadays, tradition and modernity are increasingly combined due to increasing globalization. The Christmas tree is no longer decorated on Christmas Eve morning. In many homes, shopping malls, city squares decorated Christmas trees appear in early December and earlier. Today, the Christmas tree is not attributed as much symbolism as in the past.

Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw

The stamp shows a visualization of the eastern front wall of the new building of the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw.

The stamp's launch coincides with the opening of the Museum's new headquarters. New York-based Thomas Phifer and Partners, working with architects from the APA Wojciechowski studio, is responsible for its silhouette. The museum, heralded by all successive Warsaw city presidents since 2004, has found its new home at the Central Square (formerly Defilad Square) under construction in the center of Warsaw.

Interestingly, more than 100 new trees and thousands of shrubs will be planted around the Museum, as well as lawns and new alleys. Their irregular shape leading up to the Museum will highlight its massing, while mapping the network of former streets and the outline of buildings that were demolished after World War II to make room for the Palace of Culture and Science and the current Defilad Square. Once the new building is put into use, the hitherto accumulated collections of the Museum, established 20 years ago, will be transferred there. The new premises will house existing and new research programs in the history of recent art. As before, the Museum will collect works by contemporary artists and organize exhibitions.

The issue sheet will be included in the subscription for the sheets.

       World Mental Health Day

The stamp presents a graphic symbolically emphasizing the importance of mental health in people's lives, with the issue title “World Mental Health Day” in the lower left corner, and the inscription in the lower right corner: POLAND and the value designation: PLN 4.90.

In the issue's graphic, the author, Bożydar Grozdew, symbolically depicted relationships in the work environment - which are increasingly complex and diverse due to increasing globalization. In the stamp's graphic, in its central part, we see two figures - a woman and a man with a marked common part connecting them, metaphorically representing the substantive cooperation of professionals.

An interesting graphic idea is the superimposition of the date graphic showing a single male profile on the figure of a man in the envelope graphic surrounded by other people in this way the intra-psychic processes of the individual are symbolically emphasized.

World Mental Health Day, celebrated on October 10 since 1992, is an international day for global mental health education, raising awareness and supporting the fight against social stigma. Every year on this day, awareness-raising activities are conducted around the world to draw attention to mental health and its impact on our lives. Each year a different theme is chosen for the celebration - in 2024 it reads: (“It is Time to Prioritize Mental Health in the Workplace”).
