Postcard issue "Year of Preventive Healthcare"

In 2026, officially proclaimed by the Parliament of the Republic of Poland as the Year of Health Prevention, Polish Post issued a philatelic stamp issue dedicated to promoting healthy lifestyles, disease prevention and public health awareness.

The parliamentary resolution of 26 September 2025 emphasized the importance of preventive measures, screening programmes and early disease detection. Its objective is to shift the focus from treatment to prevention and to improve health opportunities for people across the entire country, including smaller communities.

The issue refers to the nationwide campaign “Pass Prevention On” and the “10 for Health” initiative, which reminds people that good health begins with everyday decisions and healthy habits.

The stamp features the “10 for Health” logo, a mountain landscape symbolising physical activity and contact with nature, and a running figure following a path through green hills. A family spending time together is also depicted, emphasizing the importance of social relationships, family support and an active lifestyle in maintaining good health. Along the upper edge of the stamp are ten infographic symbols representing the main pillars of the “10 for Health” programme.

The sheet consists of 9 postage stamps arranged in a 3 × 3 layout. The design uses calm shades of blue and green associated with health, nature, physical activity and well-being. The surrounding artwork incorporates the repeated visual symbols of the “10 for Health” programme, forming a decorative band around the stamps. Each icon represents one of the key elements of preventive healthcare. The entire composition serves as a reminder that good health is the result of everyday choices made throughout life. 

The issue highlights the idea that health is a shared responsibility of individuals, families and society.
