Poland 1951 Nationwide Congress of the Polish Philatelists’ Association Souvenir sheet no. 12, cancelled

Poland 1951 – Block No. 12 was issued on the occasion of the National Congress of the Polish Philatelists' Union in Warsaw. It is an impressive block of four propaganda stamps promoting the implementation of the 6-Year Plan, which aimed to rebuild and industrialize Poland after World War II.

Each stamp depicts a dynamic scene involving workers and the slogan:

“FORWARD TO THE FIGHT FOR THE 6-YEAR PLAN!”

The blocks are surrounded by the inscription:

“WITH THE JOINT EFFORTS OF THE ENTIRE NATION, WE WILL BUILD A SOCIALIST POLAND,”

which emphasizes the ideological nature of the issue.

The denominations of the stamps are: 0,75 zł, 0,45 zł, 1,20 zł, 1,15 zł.

The stamps are canceled, which adds to their collectible value.
