Set of cancelled stamps issue "Fantastic worlds"
Catalogue number: 5539-5542
Issue date: 24-10-2026
On 24 October 2026, the philatelic issue “Fantastic Worlds” enters circulation, dedicated to the work of Wojciech Siudmak, an internationally acclaimed artist and one of the world's most distinguished representatives of fantastic realism and neo-surrealism.
Following last year's issue devoted to the artist's paintings, the new edition of the series focuses on his sculptural works. The issue was created in cooperation with Wojciech Siudmak and the artist's dealer Marek Duchnowski, while the graphic design was prepared by Roch Stefaniak.
The release presents four remarkable sculptures representing Siudmak's unique world of imagination, symbolism and reflection on the human condition.
💚 “Tender Dialogue” (2026)
This sculpture depicts a composition of two female figures inspired by the art of the late Renaissance and the Baroque. The work portrays a subtle relationship between two figures whose dynamic forms seem to engage in a silent conversation. The sculpture symbolizes closeness, mutual understanding and a dialogue that transcends words. A monumental version of this sculpture will be officially unveiled in Zduńska Wola on 24 October 2026.
💛 “Heart” (2019)
One of Wojciech Siudmak's most personal works. The sculpture takes the form of a monumental heart containing a human figure within its structure. The composition symbolizes the fragility of life, the passage of time, memory and the human capacity for rebirth despite adversity. It is a story about emotions, family experiences and universal values that connect people regardless of place and time.
🖤 “Desert Guardian” (1993)
One of the artist's most recognizable sculptures. The mysterious figure combines human and bird-like features and exemplifies Siudmak's fantastic imagination. Its slender, almost unreal silhouette evokes distant worlds, mythology and science fiction. The sculpture also serves as a symbol of the emerging Wojciech Siudmak International Centre for Science Fiction, Fantasy and Science Art in Łódź.
🩵 “Inner Dialogue” (2025)
The work presents a figure immersed in reflection upon its own image. The work presents a figure immersed in reflection upon its own image.
The design has been created in an elegant gallery-like style that allows attention to focus on the sculptures themselves. The bright background emphasizes their spatiality, form and details, recalling the way sculptures are displayed in museums and art galleries. A particularly distinctive feature of the composition is the use of the sheet margins, where each sculpture is presented from additional viewpoints. These alternative perspectives allow viewers to discover details that are not visible in the main images and better appreciate the three-dimensional character of the works.
The margins also feature:
• Wojciech Siudmak's signature
• the title of the issue “Fantastyczne światy”
• translations of the title into French (Mondes Fantastiques) and English (Fantastic Worlds)
• the official Art of Siudmak Paris logo
• graphic symbols associated with the individual sculptures
The entire composition creates a cohesive presentation of the artist's work, revealing the diversity of his imagination and the richness of symbolism found throughout his creations.
An additional feature of the issue is the use of a special UV-sensitive ink, visible under ultraviolet light with a wavelength of 254 nm. This effect enhances the unique character of the issue and refers to Siudmak's fascination with hidden meanings, imagination and multidimensional perceptions of reality.
