A new philatelic issue presents three fascinating dinosaur species from the Late Jurassic period, discovered in Europe. Each stamp showcases a different representative of the prehistoric world:
🦖 Camptosaurus – a herbivorous dinosaur with a massive build, known for its distinctive skull shape.
🦕 Europasaurus – a small sauropod that surprises with its size and adaptation to island environments.
🦖 Compsognathus – a fast and agile predator, one of the smallest known dinosaurs.
The FDC envelope design features the skeletons of all three dinosaurs, while the FDC postmark uses the skull of Camptosaurus, highlighting its unique anatomical features.
🔬 The issue was prepared in close collaboration with Dr Gerard Gierliński from the Polish Geological Institute – Jurapark, ensuring its high educational and scientific value.
