Sample serial number. The Nicolaus Copernicus Museum in Frombork was founded on September 5, 1948 on the initiative of the Union of Art and Cultural Historians. The museum, with an exhibition dedicated to Nicolaus Copernicus, is located in the inner canons. The development of the institution culminated in the 500th anniversary of Copernicus' birth in 1973. Location: the Bishop's Palace on Cathedral Hill, built around 1350. Expanded in the 16th century as the residence of the bishops of Warmia, in Baroque form after reconstruction in the first half of the 17th century. Reconstruction: After the destruction of World War II, the palace was rebuilt in 1965-1970. Exposition: The museum presents temporary exhibitions and a permanent exhibition “Nicolaus Copernicus - life and work”, as well as exhibits related to the history of the Cathedral Hill, Frombork and Warmia.
